"In my current paintings I try to merge the contemporary human experience with the primitive, hidden part of us that seems headed for extinction.

"The focus of my work is a narrative of the many female archetypes: Innocence, provocateur, the mystic, the victim, fragility, sexuality, the fallen, the powerful and all the nuances in between.

"I approach the work with an innate sense of the balance between light and dark, both figuratively and literally within the constructs of the painting itself. I generally believe in the curative nature of mischief and irreverance and employ it liberally whenever necessary . . . or not."
